Effortless Last Minute Valentine's Gifts!

With Valentine's Day right around the corner (tomorrow), I realized that I had no ideas for my fiance! We had decided this year that we weren't going to do anything for each other, but I couldn't not do anything so I threw together a couple of last minute easy and cheap gifts!

I have seen this idea all around Pinterest but I love the idea and wanted to try it out for myself!

All you need is:

Ribbon

Scissors or Cricut Cutter

Deck of Cards

Tape

Hole Punch

Assembling it is easy enough, you can either hand write your ideas or type them up, you can make them as simple or as special as you would like.

Another Pinterest treasure was this "I love you because....." picture frame.

All you need for this project is:

Picture Frame

Scrapbook Paper

Dry Erase Markers

Lastly, I made up a "peanut butter lovers basket"

Second Grade Class Party

I have never been very big on Valentine's day in general but there a couple things I did/do enjoy. I always enjoyed getting the cards and candy when I was a kid. I loved getting to celebrate the holiday with a fun party when I was in elementary school. As a mom though, I love getting to help my kiddo make out Valentines to her classmates and I LOVE getting to help her make her Valentine mailbox!

This year, we took her out to pick out her Valentine's...she picked out kitty's and puppies of course! Then, she decided that she wanted a zebra Valentine Mailbox from Target.

It wasn't anything overly crafty and it wouldn't take a lot of effort to assemble. (I wanted to make something extra crafty and go all out but this is what she wanted and that's what matters!) It's probably a good thing too since my littlest nugget fell sick the day before her party!

As she felt a little better, we started to fill out Valentine's and build her box... we had an awesome time while we were doing it too!

There was lots of glitter and stickers involved.....

and lots of smiles and laughter too!!

New Blog!

Hello everyone, fist post on my new blog...yay! I have been pondering the idea of starting a blog for a while now but the fear of not knowing what to post or that no one would be interested in what I would have to say has always stopped me. But, today I decided to take the plunge!

As a stay at home mom and scout leader to our youngest daughter, I like to dabble in a lot of things. I love baking, reading, crafting and anything with glitter!

This blog is going to be a mix of all of the things that I love to do, I plan on posting lots of DIY's, some of my photography, a glimpse of our crazy family life, scout activities and crafts, books...ect!

I hope you all enjoy as I take you along for this crazy journey that I call life!
